Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

Hi!  I’m back with a cookie recipe that I know y’all will LOVE!!  Just a heads up, this isn’t healthy in any way, but it is delicious so def enjoy!  Here is what you’ll need from the store:

1 stick of  room temperature Unsalted Butter

1 cup of White Sugar

1 cup of brown sugar

2 room temperature Eggs

3 tsp. of Vanilla

A few dashes of Cinnamon – Trust me on this and make sure you can smell a subtle hint of it too!

2 tsp of water

1 tsp of baking soda

A few dashes of salt

3 cups of Flour

1 cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chip Cookies

Marshmallows and Caramel Bites (Optional)

The Batter – You will want to start by mixing your one stick of unsalted butter (room temp) and one cup of white sugar in a medium-large mixing bowl at a low speed.  Once that’s incorporated, you will want to mix in your one cup of brown sugar until everything is semi-smooth like the picture below.

After that, you will want to gradually mix in your room temp eggs one by one until you have a consistent texture.  Keep the mixer on a low speed while you’re doing this and add in your three tsp. of vanilla.  I know it seems like a lot, but just trust me on this step and the next one too!  After you’ve mixed the vanilla in, you will want to add a few nice dashes of cinnamon into the batter.  This will make your cookies taste better than ever, but make sure you can smell a small hint of it, but not an overwhelming amount.  You’ll also want to mix the baking soda into the water until it dissolves and add a few dashes of salt too.

If you have pure vanilla, def use that instead! I grabbed the wrong one at the store, so don’t be like me lol

I used the wrong attachment on the mixer, so just ignore that!

After all of that is mixed in, slowly add each cup of flour into the mixture until there are no clumps and no flour to be seen.  From here you will want to add in one cup of the semi-sweet cookies and stir those into the mixture until they’re evenly dispersed.  Once everything is mixed, cover your bowl and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to an hour before cooking.

Cooking the Dough – You will want to have your oven preheated to 350 degrees and get an oven-safe pan greased or sprayed with Pam so the cookies don’t stick while cooking.  Once your dough is done in the refrigerator, take it out and form small-sized cookie balls, and place them on the pan.  Make sure they aren’t too close together too!  Once all you’ve placed the dough on the pan, put it in the oven and cook them for 8-10 minutes.  If they still seem a little doughy and not golden, place them back in for two more minutes max and take them back out to cool.  I like to put the cookies on a wire rack to help them cool evenly!  Let them cool for about 5 minutes and then enjoy!

Want to Spice them up? – If you want to spice these cookies up, add in some marshmallows and caramel bites and cook for the same amount of time as the other dough and then enjoy.  These are SOOOOO good and beyond delicious!  I typically make the last portion of our dough this way because it definitely leaves your taste buds beyond satisfied.

Anywho, that is all I have for this blog post, so I hope y’all enjoy them!  These barely last a day here in our house, so I hope they last longer in yours hahah!  Make sure you subscribe to the blog so you never miss a post and tag us on Instagram with the hashtag #SimplyMadisynnRecipes so I can see the cookies y’all make too!
