New Hair, Who Dis?

OMG y’all I am more than excited to finally get to do this blog! I get asked all the time how I got my hair from being almost pitch black to blonde without my hair completely frying and falling out, so I thought I’d make a post linking all the products I use to keep my hair popping before and after it gets dyed. I hope y’all enjoy and make sure to click each picture for the links!

So before I get my hair dyed and any time that I wash my hair, I ALWAYS do this routine because it has changed my hair curl game. The first product that I use is called Olaplex number three and you can get this from Sephora, Amazon, or your hairstylist (some of them at least)! This little bottle has lasted me for over five different hair washes, which I did not expect considering the size of the bottle. It helps strengthen my hair, detangle my hair, and helps restore the damage that has been done to my curly locks. It cost $28 at Sephora, but if you bleach your hair then it is MORE than worth it. I leave the Olaplex in for about five to ten minutes and once I do that, then I rinse it out and continue with my normal shampoo and conditioner routine.

Shea Moisture Coconut and hibiscus curl & shine shampoo for my shampoo because it is one of the only shampoos that actually hydrates my curls instead of drying it out. It smells like coconut and beyond delicious, plus my curls LOVE it soo much so it is even better. I usually wash my hair and let the shampoo sit in it for about three to five minutes and then I usually rinse it out and get ready for the conditioning stage. You can find this on Amazon, at Target, Walmart, Ulta, or you can purchase straight from Shea Moisture itself.

After I shampoo, I go to my favorite stage which is the conditioning stage. I cannot tell y’all how many years I have been looking for the PERFECT conditioner and I have finally found it thanks to my amazing hairstylist. Meet the It’s a 10 Miracle Hair Mask. I am not going to lie, this stuff is a bit pricey but it is more than worth it. You can get the 8 oz. for $30.89, but I use a ton of conditioner in my hair so I went ahead and bought this 17.5 oz. for $51.54 a few months back. This stuff is a huge help when it comes to softening my hair, detangling my curls, strengthening my hair, and just giving my curls the ultimate shine and definition! I usually sleep with the conditioner in my hair and I rinse it out the next morning and my curls LOVE it!! This conditioner smells like one hundred bucks too, so I highly recommend cause you will definitely be getting all the bang for your buck with this product.

Once I rinse out my hair I like to take some of my mixed chicks leave in conditioner, some extra virgin olive oil (sometimes Argan Moroccan Oil), and the olive oil hair cream and run it through my curls. This is how get my curls to become defined, shiny, and frizz free! I truly recommend these three products together because they can do some wonderful things to your curls! The mixed chicks leave in conditioner can be found on amazon, mixed chicks website, or at target for $16.99. You can find the olive oil hair cream at Walmart, Walgreens, Sallys and it is usually about $8. The Extra virgin olive oil can be found at your local grocery store and costed about $11. It took me awhile to finally get a hair care routine that worked for me, so if you are having trouble getting a routine to work for you just be patient because it will all come together!

Thanks for checking this out & I hope you all enjoyed!!
