BRUNCH REVIEW TIME!!! I’m so pumped for this post because this is literally just the first of many brunch reviews coming to the blog, so if you have any recommendations then let me know!!
So Kierra and I went to this really amazing brunch spot called Nickel & Rye. It’s in Downtown Dallas right off of McKinney Avenue and it has such a french quarter style when you’re walking into the restaurant. The atmosphere is literally AMAZING and the whole vibe of the entire of just soooo realzing and just really different as you can see from the pictures of the place. They have indoor and patio seating which is completely covered btw, and they have a live band with Sarah Sellers and Josh Goode every Sunday, so it makes your brunch literally that much more enjoyable. They have brunch from open
till 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and Happy Hour from Monday – Thursday 4 -7 pm and Fridays from 3 – 7 pm. During brunch, they have $5 bloody marys and $5 mimosas, $10 carafes, and $16 half gallon mimosas too. Not only do the mimosas taste like heaven, but they will have you feeling just right after one too lol!
Enough about the drinks and onto the most important part, the food! I had my eye on a few different items on their menu such as the chicken and funnel cake, the chicken fried steak and eggs, or even the breakfast pizza, but I ended up getting the biscuits and gravy!
Y’all are probably like how in the world did you pass up all of those other options, but the biscuits and gravy sounded bomb and that’s exactly what they were lol. The gravy was literally delicious and had just enough pepper, the biscuits are literally heavenly and will melt in your mouth, and Kierra said her meal was amazing too! Plus hers was keto friendly too! My only thing is that if you are on a keto diet, they don’t have many side options for you because a lot of their options are potato or bread based, but they did have SOME fruit for the side that you could eat. Other than that, I give the food literally an A+ 100%!!
If you’re looking for a place to have an amazing brunch with your girls or just go on an date with your man, then this is a place that I most definitely recommend! I can’t wait to go back, but until then stay tuned for a whole lot of #DallasBrunch reviews because they are definitely coming soon.
