Happy Tuesday, y’all!! I’m SOOOO EXCITED for this blog post because this one is very special to my heart! I was going to post it on Monday, but your girl was worn out on Sunday and just could not make it happen lol. This post is very near and dear to my heart because we finally know what Baby Griffin is and we are sooo excited. On November 30, 2018, Fred and I found out we were expecting a whittle baby. I have a whole blog about how we found and how we were feeling right here. Anywho, I was so nervous, but so excited because I adore my nieces and nephews like they are mine, so to have my own little baby to spoil and love on has me pumped.
I kept asking Fred if he wanted a gender reveal and he kept being like “we can do whatever you want, it doesn’t matter to me!” So, me being the impatient person that I am, I was like nahhhhhh we will just find out and if anything have a reveal to tell the family. Well, as time went on, Fred changed his mind and I was lowkey super excited because this is our first little baby and I want to do all the extraness possible to welcome Baby Bean into the World. I texted my best friend Kierra and was like “hey, Fred wants a gender reveal” and she literally took matters into her own hands and planned the whole thing! I was so excited to see everything she had planned and was even more excited to finally know what our Baby Bean will be.
A few weeks ago, I got a blood test taken from my Doctor called the noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and this tested the genetics as well as the gender. We got the test done and a week or two later, the results were in. When they called they were like “would you like to know the gender?” and I am honestly so proud of myself for being able to say no, we would like it in an envelope please haha. The self-control I had honestly amazed me because I thought I would have cracked. We went that Friday to pick up the envelope that beyond adorable and had EVERYTHING to protect the true gender inside. I’m talking cardstock on both sides of the results so we could not see the results through the light and then sealed and stamped with packing tape. I dropped it off with Kierra and then waited the LONGEST week of my life, or at least what it felt like haha.
We ended up doing the reveal outside at a park because Kierra said it had to be outside. We had all of our family and some friends come and it felt amazing to see how many people already loved our Baby Bean! We had cookies from the amazing Tiff Treat’s, a fruit tray, and a veggie tray for people to snack on. We also had some waters too and it was honestly perfect because it was just enough. Kierra and her sisters came and set up the party with tons of balloons, streamers, and all of the things boy or girl! It was SOOO cute and so fun.
She had a board of balloons with confetti set up for us to be able to pop with a paintball gun. The paintball gun wouldn’t pop it though, so we ended up popping it with a knife.
The balloons had both pink and blue in them, so after we popped all of the balloons everyone popped confetti cannons and the color blue came out! We were so excited because we both wanted a boy the whole time, but a healthy baby overall! We felt so blessed and so excited that our Baby Bean is now a Baby Boy!!
None of this could have happened without Kierra, her sisters, my mom, and the help of one of Kierra’s friends sister! It is such a blessing to be surrounded by nothing but amazing people that already love and adore our Baby Bean that is now a Boy!! We do have a name picked out, but we only told our close friends and family, so if you know the name already then know you are special to us hahah! Anywho, that is how our amazing gender reveal happened and I was so excited we ended up having one. Thank you to Kierra for making it happen, thank you to everyone who brought diapers and wipes for Baby Bean, and thank you to everyone who came. You are truly appreciated. Here are some pictures and videos that show how it all happened, so I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for reading, y’all!
