Treat Yo Skin!

Hey y’all! I have been wanting to do this blog for about a week now because over the last two years or so I have been falling in love with different skin care products! For reference, I have combination skin and I tend to be more oily in my T-zone area. I used to use the Neutrogena from the store all the time and I thought it worked well until I realized I constantly had some type of breakout on my face. That is when this wholeee skin care journey began!

So in probably May or June of 2016, I had tried my very first plant based skin care product and let me just say it has been my favorite since! I had tried sooo many face washes that some how would always leave my face feeling dryer than before, or just too damn oily. That is how I noticed this face wash was something different because my face actually felt fresh and clean after! This bottle costs $33 and Fred and I go through one bottle maybe every other month IF that and sometimes we use it twice a day and to wash our hands or other things! So you will be definitely be getting some bang for your buck, plus you won’t have chemicals washing your face off which is another reason why I highly recommend this liquid gold!

To go with my favorite cleanser, I usually use one of these two toners! I am absolutely obsessed with the both of them and I am even more obsessed with what they can do for my skin. So for the past two years I have been using the It Works Toner and lets just say it has been absolutely amazing! It has helped me with breakouts, my uneven skin, my redness, and it gets the excess dirt off that I miss sometimes. It also smells delicious which is a huge plus

considering some of the toners I tried before smelled like straight rubbing alcohol. The other toner I have recently discovered and love is called the Ole Henriksen Balancing Force Oil Control Toner and it does just that. I have found myself becoming more oily as the seasons change and so this toner has been key to keeping my oil to a minimum. It is also a HUGEEE help with my scars, unevenness,

redness, and it also works well to remove

any excess dirt. I keep both of these toners in my bathroom because you never know when you will run out of one, so I like to ALWAYS have a backup lol. The It Works Cleanser is $33 and can be found on my site (click the pic for the link) as it is also a plant based product and the Ole Henriksen is $26 and can be found in Sephora or on Ole Henriksen online.

One of my favorite parts of my skin care routine is most definitely my moisturizer routine. I loveeeee how soft and smooth my face feels right after I moisturize, but of course it took awhile to find what worked best for me. So I usually use my It Works Preventage or repairage in the morning with about two drops of my Kiehls midnight recovery oil because I love how it makes my face feel so smooth, clean, and more than hydrated!

Then in the evening I use my Tatcha water gel with about two drops of my Kiehls midnight recovery oil and when I tell you I just left a spa I mean it lol!! I love how cool, smooth, refreshed, and hydrated I feel after this combo and I swear this has also been helping my scarring that I have! Another plus is that is smells like heaven so all together it’s a win win situation lol.

Now, I know that this combination might

not work for everyone, but I hope it can help someone out there find something that benefits their skin. I know Fred loves my It Works cleanser, toner, and moisturizer and it has honestly helped his skin clear up, his pores aren’t clogged anymore, and his breakouts are at the minimum. So I HIGHLY recommend the plant based skin care for sure and if you’re trying to splurge, then hit up your local Sephora and ask for a sample of something to see if it could work for you! I hope you all enjoyed this blog and I hope it can help someone out their get their skin to where they want it to be. Make sure you keep an eye out for my favorite masks because it will be up real soon!!(:
