Happy Tuesday!!  Since it is Springtime, I thought it was more than appropriate to share all things Tulips.  Last Tuesday, my best friend, her sister, and I went all the way to Pilot Point to go to a Tulip Field.  It has been something I have been wanting to go see for over a year now, so when Kierra asked if I wanted to go it was a no brainer. The address is 10656 FM 2931, Pilot Point, TX 76258, so if you are coming from the Dallas area just know that it takes about an hour to get there, so make sure you give yourself enough to enjoy the tulips with some sunlight.  Another thing that you will want to know is that Texas Tulips is open from 10 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.  The tulip field is open from mid/late February and you can go and pick the tulips through the end of March/Early April, so you still have some time to go.

Once you head there, you will know you have arrived because you start to see ROWS of tulips and it is absolutely beautiful. To get in it costs $5 and the cashier will ask if you have been there before.  If you have not, they will instruct you on how you can pick your own tulips, that way you get the whole thing.  You walk in and there are a ton of baskets there for you to grab that way you have a place to put your tulips.  There is also a sign there that tells you that the Tulips you pick you must buy, so make sure you pick wisely because they are $2.50 a stem!  I got there and wanted a dozen originally, then I realized that was a bit extra since I literally cannot keep plants alive to save my life.  We started to walk down each row and it was so pretty.  Some tulips had not bloomed yet, so if you go now I bet you could see even more tulips.

They had tulips of all different colors and I was in heaven!  They had red, pink, orange, yellow, purple, white, and some other color tulips and they were just stunning.  These tulips are something you would see at the Dallas Arboretum, so to be able to go an pick your own bouquet of tulips is actually pretty dang cool.  When you start picking the tulips, you literally do not want to stop.  I picked 7 total, but I literally could’ve kept going, but my bank account would’ve been screaming, so I had some type of self-control.  It is honestly a pretty cool place for a family day, date day, girls day, or just a day to be able to enjoy the weather.  I even saw some mommas out there getting in some super cute pictures of their babies and they looked so cute!  I know that for a fact my Mammaw would have loved this place because she loved some tulips and she loved colorful items and it is filled with both.  We were out there for about an hour collecting tulips and it was so much fun.

After you have collected all of your tulips that you would like, you return the baskets and then head to the checkout counter where they wrap your tulips up, so they can make it to your destination safely.  I picked a yellow paper to wrap my flowers in, but you could pick from yellow, white, red, lavender, and a few other colors.  When you hand them your tulips, they put them in a transport gel, wrap, it, and you are good to go.  I’m not sure how much longer they are open, but I would definitely check it out while you still can because it is one for the books!  Shoutout to Kierra and Ke’Aundra for inviting me because I had a blast.

They lasted a few weeks after I brought them home and I definitely enjoyed them!
